5 Questions with Megan Laskey

Megan Laskey, a student from Bowie who attends James Madison University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, VA, recently participated in an . Patch caught up with her to ask five questions.

Bowie Patch: Where did you go to high school and what year did you graduate?
Megan Laskey: I attended in Severn, [and graduated] in 2010.

Bowie Patch: What connections do you have to Bowie—where is your favorite place to eat, spend time, etc.?
Laskey: Some connections I have to Bowie is I really enjoy running through the tunnel of trees on Belair Drive. I also love going to and eating at in BTC.

Bowie Patch: What is your major / focus of current studies at JMU?
Laskey: I am currently studying Geography and Environmental Studies. I am very interested in sustainability and helping the environment.

Bowie Patch: What did you find most rewarding about your spring break experience?
Laskey: The most rewarding thing was hanging out with the kids and just seeing how happy they were when we were around.

Bowie Patch: Would you recommend that other college students spend their breaks in a similar program—why or why not?
Laskey: I would definitely recommend this to other college students because it is a refreshing experience that makes a difference.
