Wisdom Wednesdays: "The What and The Why"

Hmm ... “the what  and the why”.  Do you find yourself asking yourself, "What is all of this mess that I am going through; why do I have to go through this mess?"  Do you find yourself making comparisons with people who don't "serve God" the way you do? What about the times when non-believers get ahead while the believers seem to be in lack?  Why do they get everything; why can't my prayers be answered?  Be honest, are these some of the questions that ponder in your thoughts, particularly in today's economic times? Well, you are not alone.  Let's face it we are in some hard times.  But guess what?  God has not changed.  Just like the Israelites, God is expecting His chosen people to live a different lifestyle.  We must live by faith and allow God's light to shine through us.  Giving up and giving in to whatever situation we are going through is just not an option.

Hebrews 11: 1 reminds us, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."  Soooo, if you have not seen your prayer answered yet, keep believing that God is just getting you ready to receive a special blessing from Him.  I know… I know waiting is hard.  Psalm 40:1 tells us what happens when we not only wait, but wait patiently on God, "I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry."  Trust me “the what and the why” may seem unbearable right now, but believe that God is working a miracle on your behalf in due time.

Now that's a word!
