Wisdom Wednesdays: "It's A Beautiful Day!"

It's A Beautiful Day!  Did you awaken this morning and allow God to just hold you before your day began?  Last night, did you fall asleep in the bosom of God's arms? Sometimes I think we are moving so fast that we become like robots.  Things that we do throughout the course of the day become check marks instead of things that we need to do to nourish our minds and refresh our souls.  Before we get too deep into 2014, let's take time now to just breathe, breathe and aww breathe.

Okay, so if life is just that simple then why aren't all of our days beautiful? Well, because we have chosen NOT to have beautiful days.  Yep, just that simple.  You see, we often beat to the rhythm of our own drum until a larger, prettier, seemingly more profitable beat comes along.  So the new beat we play until the new rhythm starts to skip a beat. You know, all of a sudden things aren't really larger-than-life, the better looks disappear and now you have lost a ton of money on one of those get-rich-quick opportunities.  So, how can I possible say, "It's a Beautiful Day"?  Well because we have all made some mistakes and even though they were painful when they happened, you have to be so grateful that God gives us forgiveness, mercy and grace each day.  In other words, He gives us the opportunity to get it right. You can't go back and erase your past, so let's look to a bright future.

Begin your new journey by assessing the people in your life.  Got "Nay-sayers"? Gone.  Got "Discouragers"? Gone.  Got "Back Biters"?  Gone. Got Complainers (Whiners), Foul Mouths, Judgmental Haters and the list goes on? Gone, gone, gone and gone!  Of course all of this "gone" is done in love. Set yourself free of as much negative energy as possible.  According to 1 Corinthians 15:33, "Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”"  Need I say more.  Don't allow other people to determine the type of day you will have.  Declare It's a Beautiful Day!

Now that's a word!
