KC Ford discusses Deuteronomy 31:8

One of my favorite sports is Track.  I love the excitement, preparation and thrill that comes with every race.  I've even run a few races as a Masters Runner.  I can hear my coach saying, "Stay with the pack, don't get too far behind."  So, I want to ask the question, "When is it okay to be behind?"

As my children are still learning in high school and college, I often say to them, "Try to study ahead so you won't get behind".  I ask again, "When is it okay to be behind?"

We are taught, conditioned and trained to be ahead because that's always better than being behind.  Right, is that so?  Let me answer the question, "When is it good to be behind?"  This is what Moses said to Joshua in Deuteronomy 31:8, "And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you or forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed."  I know we are in some tough times, but allow God to be ahead of you so that His Will will be done in His time.  It's okay to be behind, that is ... behind God.
