Planning Home or Outdoor Projects?

Patch lists some resources to get information about home improvement and garden projects.

If you are looking for spring project ideas, it may be worth the drive to Timonium to check out the Maryland Home & Garden Show this weekend. The Baltimore Sun created a list of 10 features to check out while you are there.

The show will be Friday through Sunday at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, 2200 York Rd. in Timonium. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (62 years or older), $3 for children 6-12, and free for children younger than 3.

Learn About the Benefits of Rain Barrels
Join staff from the city of Bowie and the Lions Club from 9:30-11 a.m. on March 31 at City Hall to learn about the benefits of rain barrels. The Lions will be selling 55-gallon rain barrels ($75 or less). For more information, email Tiffany Wright at twright@cityofbowie.org.

Free Workshops in March
Home Depot, located at 4121 Crain Highway in Bowie, is offering free weekly workshops to learn how to do home improvement and outdoor projects during the month of March.

Here is information for local workshops, according to Home Depot's website. Call the Bowie store at 301-809-3455 to confirm the time and topic of each workshop.

  • Lawn Maintenance on Saturdays in March, from 10 to 11 a.m.
