Urban Gardening Workshop: Worm Composting

Who: Ages 13+ (Under 16 needs to participate with an adult)
Where: The Shed

How Much? $40 per compost bin. Maximum two participants per bin.

This spring, the Maryland Science Center is your place to go to learn the basics of gardening and get your plantings ready for the summer.  A series of urban gardening workshops covering a range of topics are available for you to participate in.

Join the Maryland Science Center in The Shed for a Worm Composting Workshop, led by Baltimore County Master Gardener, Vickie Miller. Learn how to reduce your kitchen footprint and use your kitchen scraps to enrich your garden soil. Vermiculture is an efficient and easy indoor composting method. Participants will take home a complete project and the knowledge to care for your worms. All materials will be provided.
