Greenbelt Rhythm & Drum Festival

Drum and dance to the beats of Brazil, Africa, and the Middle East at the Greenbelt Rhythm & Drum Festival, October 19, in Old Town Greenbelt, MD.  This day-long event features performances from the DC area’s finest world drumming ensembles: Batala Washington, Cheick Hamala Diabate, Drum Call: Pulse of Africa, Fez Tones Hafla, Akoma Drummers & Bele Bele Rhythm Collective, and Stream & The Blue Dragons; and celebrates rhythm through participatory drum circles and drumming workshops.  There will also be hula-hoopers, drum vendors, arts & clothing vendors and more.  Located in the Roosevelt Center in historic downtown Greenbelt, MD. Saturday, October 19, 11am-11pm. Free.
