GREASE Auditions - Production II

The Charis Center for the Arts invites all middle and high school age students (grades 6-12) to audition for our production of GREASE!!


This 1950’s rock ‘n roll musical has been revised specifically for young audiences, but features the spirited  Rydell High class of ’59 with gum chewing, hub cap stealing, and girls in bobby socks.  Join the gang as they sing and dance their way through pajama parties, proms the burger place and the drive-in movies.  All interested students who are currently in grades 6 -12 are invited to schedule an audition time by sending an email to drama@chariscenterarts.com.  Audition times will be assigned on a first-come-first serve basis.  Students should be prepared to sing, read, and dance at the audition.  This show requires 18-30 participants.

The major emphasis of Production  is to provide for the continued

growth and development of the students’ acting and technical skill

through studying and producing a full-length production for public

performance. Play production emphasizes artistic perception and creative

expression, promote understanding of aesthetic valuing, historical and

cultural awareness, and the interconnections of the arts and other

disciplines.
