Annual Goodloe Celebration and Bowie State Scholarship Fund-raiser

Dr. Mickey Burnim,  the President of Bowie State University, will be the featured speaker at the Annual GoodloeCelebration, an event that benefits the Goodloe Memorial Scholarship Fund at Bowie State University.  It will take place at Goodloe Memorial Unitarian Universalist Congregation (GMUUC), in Bowie,on Saturday, December 1, 2012.  


GMUUC is named in honor of Rev. Don Speed Smith
Goodloe, who was the first principal of the Maryland Normal and Industrial School, Bowie (now Bowie State University), 1911-1921 and the first African American graduate of Meadville Theological School (now Meadville Lombard), 1906. 


The gathering with reception will begin at 6:30 PM. 
The program will start at 7:00 PM.  Admission is free but donations to the scholarship fund are requested.
