Bowie-Crofton Camera Club Program

Dick Bond will present a program on large format
photography.  In addition to all of his other involvements,
Dick also serves as Photographer of Records at the museum for the Annapolis
Naval Academy. He has been an active photographer for most of his career and
has exhibited extensively in the Annapolis area. His recent work has been
informed more by a piece of equipment than by aesthetic or philosophic
concerns. As the rest of the world leaps joyfully into the twenty-first
century, he has retreated to the nineteenth. He is currently using an 1895 view
camera of 5 x 7 format and will show the equipment, some examples of what it
does, and discuss the perils and joys of large format.  Club meetings are free and open
to all. They begin at 7:30 pm at the All Saints Lutheran Church, 16510 Mount
Oak Road, Bowie, MD 20716. www.b-ccc.org
