Bowie State University Founder's Day Award Gala

To celebrate the founding of Bowie State University, we will honor the
achievements, contributions and accomplishments of faculty, alumni,
corporate and community leaders, and organizations that have had a
significant impact on the university. Founded in 1865, Bowie State University is the oldest Historically Black
Institution of higher education in the state of Maryland and the fifth
oldest in the country.
The evening will begin with a one hour reception followed by dinner, a
keynote address from the Honorable Steny H. Hoyer, award and video presentations, and live entertainment featuring a performance by Tamara Wellons.
