Re-elected Bowie Council Sworn in Monday

The council was sworn in during a brief ceremony.

The newly re-elected Bowie City Council was sworn in to service in a brief ceremony Monday night. 

Mayor G. Frederick Robinson, reelected for his eighth term, was sworn in by Prince George's County Clerk of the Court Marilyn Bland. The rest of the council was sworn in by Robinson. 

The council was reelected soundlyand mostly unopposed—on Nov. 5 to four year terms. Prior to the 2013 election, terms for the council were only two years, but residents voted to extend council terms to four years.
