Post Election Politicking as Bowie Council Incumbents Await Results

With only two contested races, the mood of the party is light and and optimistic.

The post election party hosted by City of Bowie incumbents has drawn a big crowd, including County Councilwoman Ingrid Turner (District 5), and Sen. Doug J.J. Peters (D-23).

The mood is unsurprisingly upbeat, as only two of the seven races in Bowie were contested. Councilwoman Diane Polangin (District 4), Councilman Isaac Trouth (District 4), Councilman James Marcos (District 1), Councilman Todd Turner (at-large) and Councilman Dennis Brady (at-large) all ran in uncontested races and will likely be reelected soundly.

Incumbent Mayor G. Frederick Robinson was challenged by Richard Dahms and Councilman Henri Gardner (District 3) was challenged by Babatunde Alegbeleye.

Results will be posted as they are made available.
