Bowie Council Candidates Discuss Racetrack, Town Center at Thursday Forum

Public safety and term limits were also hot topics at Thursday's forum, hosted by the Greater Bowie Democratic Club.

Several candidates for Bowie City Council gathered Thursday night at the Kenhill Center to discuss city issues answer voter questions.

The forum was hosted by the Greater Bowie Democratic Club, and about two dozen residents were in attendance. Those present had the opportunity to hear from incumbent candidates James Marcos (District 1), Henri Gardner (District 3), Isaac Trouth (District 4), Dennis Brady (at-large) and Todd Turner (at-large). District 3 challenger Babatunde Alegbeleye and mayoral challenger Richard Dahms were also present.

Candidates gave a five minute overview of their candidacy and then answered a variety of questions from residents about issues including safety, economic development, term limits and city green space.
