Where to Grab Mother's Day Brunch in Prince George's County

This Sunday, May 12 is Mother's Day. If your mom enjoys a good Eggs Benedict, fruit salad, or other scrumptious brunch fare, you're in luck: there are plenty of good options in Prince George's County. Below, we round up a few.

Rip's County Inn—Bowie Patch's 2012 Readers' Choice for Best Mother's Day Brunch—is offering Mother's Day Brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $19.99 for adults and $9.99 for children. Reservations required for parties of eight or more. See the full menu online.

T.J. Elliott's in Bowie offers breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday, including Mother's Day. The restaurant will also be offering a special Mother's Day menu, including stuffed flounder, seafood carbonara, New York strip steak topped with scallops. Mulligan's Grill and Pub in College Park is offering a special Mother's Day buffet featuring roast beef and turkey au jus, fresh asparagus, omelets and eggs, a pastry table, and more. Seatings are at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.; the menu is $22.95 for adults, $10.95 for children 7-12, and $6.95 for children 4-6.

Sir Walter Raleigh Inn in Berwyn Heights is offering an all-you-can eat Mother's Day buffet featuring slow roasted beef, lemon herb salmon, lump crab imperial, vegetable lasagna and their dessert bar. Seating starts at 11:30 a.m. and the restaurant will remain open until 8 p.m. The buffet price is $29.95 for adults, $27.95 for seniors and $16.95 for children ages 7 through 12. Red Sky Steak & Fish House in Laurel will offer a brunch buffet Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The price is $23.95 per person (or $28.95 with champagne and orange juice) and $6.00 for kids 11 and under.

Calvert House Inn in Riverdale Park hosts a brunch every Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. featuring live jazz. Items on the menu include New York strip steak with eggs, buttermilk pancakes, eggs Benedict and a variety of omelets. You can see the full menu online. 

Fishnet in College Park will also host its regular brunch menu featuring French toast, salmon Benedict, lump crab meat and vegetarian omelets, and shrimp and grits. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

And if mom's in the mood for a classic diner experience, there's always the Silver Diner in Greenbelt and Plato's Diner and the College Park Diner in—you guessed it—College Park.
