Thunderstorm Watch Issued for Bowie Through 10 P.M.
Forecasters are warning of 'locally damaging wind gusts and large hail.'

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Prince George's County and much of the state through 10 p.m. Monday.

"Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening," the service warns. "Thunderstorms will be capable of producing locally damaging wind gusts and large hail."
Forecasters expect the worst of the weather pass through the area before 8 p.m.
The chance of precipitation Monday afternoon and evening stands at about 30%, with less than an inch of rainfall expected. Higher amounts may be seen in areas affected by thunderstorms.
The forecast calls for an overnight low of around 70°. More thunderstorms are possible Tuesday afternoon, with a daytime high of 93°.
