Halloween is Still on in Bowie

City officials announced Tuesday that trick or treating would go on as planned.

The city of Bowie announced Tuesday that it is safe for its pint-sized residents to go trick or treating on Wednesday evening.

Some parents and children in Bowie worried that the arrival of Hurricane Sandy and subsequent power outages may delay or cancel this sweet and spooky holiday. Thankfully, city officials made the call to let Halloween go on as planned.

The city recommends trick or treating between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Check out these Halloween safety tips before hitting the streets with your little goblins and ghouls. Or ballerinas and ninjas, as the case may be.
