Celebrate National Bike to Work Day in Bowie

Ditch your car for a day to promote biking as a healthy alternative to driving.

If you’ve ever thought about biking to work, this Friday is your chance.

May 17 is National Bike to Work Day, which is part of National Bike Month.

There will be two Bike to Work Day pit stops in Bowie—at the Bowie Town Center Food Court and at the Old Town Bowie Fire Station on 9th Street—both from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Participants can register  at www.biketoworkmetrodc.org and receive a free "Bike to Work Day 2013" T-shirt. Water, other refreshments and prizes will also be provided.
