Good Friday for the rest of the state was just another regular day for the House Judicial Committee and the House Health and Government Operations Committee, both committees met in an eight hour session to debate and make amendments to SB281, and some of those amendments were not without controversy.

Mike Miller Wouldn't Mind A Toke

Maryland Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller wouldn't mind a toke right about now. The Senate Thursday afternoon is expected to take up a bill sponsored by Del. Dan Morhaim, a physician and Baltimore County Democrat, that creates a commission to study the medical use of marijuana.

April is officially Earth month in Bowie! This week's post comes from John Allender, member of the Bowie Green Team and Chair of the Bowie Green Expo.

The third annual Bowie Green Expo will be held on April 13, 2013 from 1 to 4PM, rain or shine at the Kenhill Center (old City Hall), 2614 Kenhill Dr., Bowie.  This event is hosted by the Bowie Lions Club, the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce, and the City’s Green Team.

The Bowie Green Expo brings together Bowie families, non-profits, and vendors to learn why and how to live more sustainably and healthfully.
