ADOPT, DON'T SHOP-GREAT DOGS READY TO ADOPT!

"Project Adopt, Don't Shop" is a program that a friend and myself started a few years ago. We realized the shelter needed help finding great homes for the over 200 dogs and cats they presently house. We decided to donate our services by going to the Prince George's Animal Services Facility on Brown Station Road in Upper Marlboro every week where, with the help of the shelter staff, take photos and videos of some of the dogs and cats so they can have new, more flattering photos.

A lot of people look down on shelter animals. We want to show everyone just how special these precious pets are.

Keep an eye on this blog where you will see some great pics of some great animals. If you see that special pet that you would like to adopt, check the name and ID # attached to the pic and call 301-780-7201 or stop by the Prince George's Animal Services Facility located at 3750 Brown Station Road in Upper Marlboro for information on that pet. If that one has already been fortunate enough to find a wonderful, new home, don't be discouraged, check out all the other great animals that are waiting to be adopted. There is no greater feeling than helping to give a deserving animal a loving, forever home.
