A Day Set Aside Just for Women: 3rd Annual Bowie Women's Expo

You work and play hard between your job or business and your family. It's time to take a little time for yourself. Enjoy the Women's Expo this Saturday.

You work and play hard between your job or your business and your family. It's time to take a little time for yourself and enjoy shopping, networking with other local women, hearing inspirational speakers and eating a health-smart buffet lunch.

The 3rd Annual Bowie Women's Expo is Saturday, September 29 from 9AM-3PM at the Comfort Inn in Bowie. Speakers are Cheryl Wood, Cheryl Wood Empowers, Gabrielle Williams, Jewelz of Jordan, Audrey Scott, first female mayor of Bowie, Maryland Women's History Center, and Ann Evankovich, Imagine Yoga and Wellness Center.

The wonderful buffet lunch will include salmon and chicken provided by Comfort Inn.

We will give away lots of wonderful door prizes from local companies, including Old Bowie Town Grille and Chespeake Grille & Deli.

Goodie bags include coupon cards for a free bottle of wine with purchase from Crescent Beer & Wine, free appetizers from Texas Roadhouse and Chesapeake Grille & Deli. Also included is a bar of soap from Grey Swan Inn Bed and Breakfast, several pens, a personal nail grooming kit, notebook and more from local companies and organizations. The bags were donated by TD Bank in Bowie.

Proceeds benefit the Women in Business Scholarship Fund of the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce (GBCC). Tickets can be purchased on the GBCC website at www.bowiechamber.org or by calling the office at (301) 262-0920. Come join the fun this Saturday and take time off for yourself.
