I know, I know. If you are anything like me the all you want to do when the weather turns cold and gloomy is curl up on the couch with a fire roaring and a cup of hot tea. However, though many people say the spring market is the time for activity in real estate, I believe that the winter/fall can yeild some pretty awesome deals for buyers!
Is there less inventory? Yes, but there is also less competition.As you may have seen or heard, some prices have been so low it is almost like an auction in the spring market, multiple offers flying, places going for more than list, and more.
During the cold months when real estate vastly slows down, it may be a good time to go out and see if there is something that fits your needs! Many of the sellers that decide to list or have to list in the colder months see much less activity, become more desperate, and there are plenty of great deals to be had!
No one wants to be looking at houses in between holidays, but for the frugal buyer, it may be an awesome time to get an offer in and avoid other competition! Dont let the cold weather keep you from an awesome deal!
