Local “Kick Starter” campaign raises funds to provide free interactive theatre programs for children attending Washington Metropolitan Area Pre-schools!

Among hundreds of fundraising campaigns presented on the Kickstarter Website, “My Little World” LIVE! is an outstanding effort to produce an interactive “Healthy Living” theatre production and give it away to children attending preschools in the local Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.  This vibrant production, utilizes cultural music to promote 60-minutes of healthy physical activity. In a one-room school house, a cast of children are taught wonderful healthy lessons by their teacher, Mr. Goodman Learner and a host of larger than life characters, who then engage the audience in movement while teaching the importance of participating in daily physical activity, eating fresh fruits and vegetables, drinking plenty of water, exercising for the health of the heart and so much more! The production is truly outstanding!!! The fundraising campaign, which started in September 2013, in honor of Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, will raise funds until November 8, 2013. The funds will be used to secure a regular rehearsal site and conduct rehearsals, secure (4) theatre venues, build a five section interactive classroom set, mount the production, and present 4 free performances in April 2014.
