Visions for Vacancies: Former Bed Bath & Beyond

What new retailer would you like to see in the Bowie Town Center?

The Bed Bath & Beyond at Bowie Town Center relocated to Gambrills in September, leaving a vacant storefront across from the Macy's.

Although many Bowie residents were sad to see the store go, it's relocation has opened up some prime real estate in Bowie Town Center.

Tell us: What would you like to see fill the former Bed Bath & Beyond storefront? Another home goods store, a new clothing retailer, a specialty shop? Leave your ideas in the comments!

Would love to see Trader Joe's come to Bowie.

I second that! I hate driving to Rockville to make purhases!

I would appreciate a Microcenter, but they just opened their second store in Maryland and are unlikely to open another any time soon.

I would love to see a Trader Joe's, but the parking would be a problem.

Trader Joe's would be fabulous, but I doubt Safeway would allow it there. Pointer Ridge Plaza would be wonderful for a TJ's.
I second a Container Store.

I would LOVE for Bed Bath and Beyond to come back. I really miss it being in Bowie! I have visited the Crofton and Columbia locations (I work in Columbia), but miss browsing close to my house. If BBB doesn't come back, then a Container Store would be FAB!!!!!!! Trader Joe's would be great, but like was stated above, Safeway wouldn't let that fly. Just as long as a junkie store like Gussini's doesn't come in, then I am ok!

Also, how about a Burlington Coat Factory????

World Market, Trader Joe's or the Container Store

A HomeGoods store would be a nice replacement, but I also like the idea of Trader Joe's!

Based on the current City Council Agenda, looks like LA Fitness is moving in . . ."Approval of Proposed Architectural Elevations for LA Fitness in the Bowie Town Center"

Still vote for Anna's Linens or Container Store! There was a SNAP Fitness in the Collington Plaza Shopping Center that was there for probably a year, then left, so I don't think a gym will do well there. I belong to Sport Fit b/c I love going to the pool there during the summer, and have been going there for ~15 years. Would LOVE to see BB&B COME BACK!!!!

Great opportunity to show our appreciation to those who put their lives on the line for us in Bowie.Read More Our appreciation to all the first responders!!!

My primary goal of forming this group, is to give all of us sufferers a feeling of belonging. SoRead More many people feel like they have no where, and no one to turn to, and I want to be that person and provide a group that can offer a pick-me-up throughout the day, or something to look forward to mid-week. So far, I have had 3 people reach out to me which is wonderful, however, I would like to have at least 5 people for our first meeting. I look forward to hearing from YOU soon! ~Cheers, Brittany
