Teavana Tea Brewing Up Business in Bowie Town Center

The new shop has been open and selling loose teas and accessories for about a month

The sweet scents of orange rinds and cinnamon waft from the open doors of the recently opened Teavana tea store in the Bowie Town Center, where free samples are on offer for passersby.

The shop opened just before Thanksgiving on the corner of Emerald Way, across the street from Francesca's. Friendly clerks hand sell loose leaf teas by the ounce, tea kettles and pots, to-go tea tumblers, rock sugar and gift sets for the tea lovers in your life.

You won't find your basic Lipton black teabags at Teavana. The upscale tea store sells unique blends of teas, like its Maharaja Chai Oolong, Champaign Sangria Black Punch, Blackberry Mojito Green and Sweet Asian Pear White. Prices for the tea, vary any where from around $5 for 2 ounces, all the way up to nearly $25 for 2 ounces.
