Lima's Charbroiled Chicken Opening Soon in Bowie

Bowie's first Peruvian chicken restaurant is slated to open soon.

The savory tastes and mouth-watering smells of Peruvian rotisserie chicken are finally making their way to Bowie.

Originally scheduled to open in late September, Lima's Charbroiled Chicken, at 3352 Crain Hwy. in Collington Plaza, plans to open their doors sometime in the next week to ten days.

“Lima's is opening a 2,624 square foot store at this shopping center, the restaurant’s first location outside of DC,” said George Galloway of Next Reality Mid-Atlantic, who represents the property for the landlord.

The restaurant will serve family-style Peruvian chicken at a moderate price of about $6 to $8 a person, said Galloway. They have a large rotisserie machine on site with the capacity to cook around three dozen chickens at a time. People will be able to buy a quarter, half or whole chicken and a variety of sides.

“We think it’s a great restaurant,” Galloway said.

Galloway expects the family friendly restaurant to do a great lunch business as well.

With the addition of Lima's and the recently opened Advance Auto Parts, Collington Plaza is about 95 percent leased. Galloway said the company is in talks to lease the remaining space, which is adjacent to Advance Auto Parts. That would put the property at 100 percent tenant capacity.
