FroZenYo Serves Up Personalized Treats In Bowie
Bowie's first self-serve frozen-yogurt-by-the-ounce shop opened on July 19.
Bowie residents have a new, sweet way to beat the heat with the opening of FroZenYo in Bowie Town Center.
The store kicked off its grand opening last Friday with free samples and had been doing a steady business ever since.
The store sells self-serve frozen yogurt by the ounce. Customers can choose from any combination of 16 flavors and 50 toppings, making for very customizable frozen treats.
Franchise owner Robert Yates said Bowie is the perfect place for a yogurt shop.
"There seemed to be a need and it seemed to be a good business opportunity," Yates said.
In the coming weeks the store hopes to begin hosting active culture activity nights where the community can come together to play games and the like.
More good news: FroZenYo is open late, so you can satisfy that sweet tooth well into the night. Store hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 AM to 11 PM; Friday and Saturday, 11 AM to midnight and Sunday, 11 AM to 10 PM.
