Flu Shots Available at Giant Food Locations

Area Giants are already gearing up for flu season by offering vaccinations for $30 per person.

It may still look and feel like summer, but Giant Food is already offering flu shots at all its in-store pharmacy locations in Bowie.

“Flu shots are reformulated every year, so it’s important people are vaccinated on an annual basis," said Gayle Shields, director of pharmacy operations for Giant Food in a press release. “Giant is proud to offer seasonal flu shots at all 159 of our in-store pharmacies in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Washington, DC.”

Appointments aren't necessary and the shots cost $30 per person, according to a press release. Giant Food accepts most major insurance plans along with Medicare.

The grocery store chain has also partnered with various health-related vendors to offer a free coupon book worth more than $30, while supplies last, to customers who receive a flu shot.

In addition to giving the annual flu shot, Giant pharmacists are also available to provide on-site flu clinics at workplaces and businesses around Bowie. For more information or to schedule an on-site flu clinic at a convenient location, readers can call 1-(888)-469-4426.
