Outback Donates $5,000 to Hospice of the Chesapeake

After a grand re-opening, the popular Bowie steakhouse opened its doors while supporting a good cause.

The Bowie Outback Steakhouse kicked off its grand re-opening in November with a bang and sent $5,000 to the Hospice of the Chesapeake in the process.

After unveiling a newly renovated restaurant with a “new look,” the Bowie Outback Steakhouse on Race Track Road donated $5,000 to coincide with National Hospice Month.

Hospice of the Chesapeake President and CEO Michael S. McHale said he’s always appreciative when local businesses support their community nonprofit.

“Herb Frederick [Managing Partner of Bowie Outback Steakhouse] and his team are shining examples of corporate citizenship at its best in Prince George’s County,” McHale said in a press release. “I’m thrilled to call them friends and community partners.”

Frederick said he knew from the start that he wanted the store’s relocation to include an extra-special “thank you” to the community.
