Bowie Family Looks to Clean Up With New Business

Stephanie and Shaun Minick of Bowie are opening a MaidPro franchise in the city this fall.

Looking for a little extra help around the house?

Bowie resident Stephanie Minick and her husband Shaun what to help. Their new franchise, MaidPro of Bowie, is opening in October.

“Just like any other maid service, you call us and tell us your needs--weekly, monthly, bi-monthly or just one time,” said Stephanie Minick.

But they do offer some special touches, like origami towels and mints on pillows.

Minick and her husband decided to open their own business to provide a solid foundation for their three children, ages 11, 4 and 10 months.

“We are growing our family, and we wanted to be able to provide for our children,” said Minick. “Something more than we had when we were younger, to leave something behind for them.”

Both Minick and her husband will keep their full time jobs for now, but in about six months Minick will leave her current position to run MaidPro of Bowie full time.

MaidPro of Bowie will be fully bonded and licensed and all employees will undergo criminal and driving background checks. Safety is very important to Minick, who will be personally interviewing and training all staff. She said she wants potential clients to know that she won’t let anyone into their homes that she would not welcome into her own.
