White House Community Leaders; Starting a Small Business (Part II)

The first step to starting a small business is contacting the Small Business Administration.

The U.S. Small Business Administration has a great website with a lot of great resources for starting a small business. The site will guide you through steps in starting your very own small business and put you in touch with individuals/organizations that can help you prepare for starting your business.

These services are free. They will also teach you about tax relief depending on the steps you take to acquire your needs for your up-start. There is also a focus on the young entrepreneurs through the SBA's "Young Entrepreneur Initiative". In short the feds have and will continue to take steps to ensure young people have the means not just to start a business, but to sustain your business to the point you can grow and hire people.

The better you do, the better the economy does, so for the Government, the country, and you it's a win-win-win situation. Go to www.sba.gov to get started. There you can read about the variety of loans, how to get counseling for loans, business plan development, etc. the feds are increasing flow of capital to small business through many programs so now is not only the time to investigate options but to take advantage of these options.
