Pointer Ridge PTA Hosts Beautification Day, Chick-fil-A Spirit Night

Citizen do-gooders in Bowie have two upcoming opportunities to give back to the community by way of supporting one local school.

The Pointer Ridge Elementary School PTA is hosting a school beautification day from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on September 14. Volunteers will be cleaning up the grounds and weeding, and should bring rakes and other gardening tools if possible. Full family participation is welcome. If you'd rather support the local school and grab a quick dinner at the same time, the Chick-fil-A on Ballpark Road in Bowie is hosting a Pointer Ridge Elementary Spirt Night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on September 18. Print out and present the attached coupon, or say your are there supporting Pointer Ridge Elementary, and a portion of all purchase proceeds will go to benefit the school.
