Weekend Planner: Come Hear the Sound of the Holidays

A variety of Christmas concerts are occurring in the region.

What do the holidays sound like? This weekend offers several chances to find out with a variety of Christmas concerts. Santa and Elvis will also make appearances around the region. What are you up to this weekend? Leave a comment to let us know.

What: Chesapeake Chorale Chamber Singers Holiday Concert
When/Where: 4 p.m. Sunday at , 16510 Mt Oak Rd., Bowie
Why go: Come hear the Chesapeake Chorale Chamber Singers, known for having a unique sound, as they sing traditional carols and new works for the holidays.
Cost: Free

What: Singer Kat Parsons Dinner and Concert
When/Where: 5 p.m. Sunday at Charis Center for the Arts, 12010 8th St., Bowie
Why go: The Washington Post describes Kat Parson as a fiery spirit with dynamic songs.

What: Breakfast with Santa at CAT South
When/Where: 9-11 a.m. Saturday at , 201 Central Ave., Edgewater
Why go: The students and staff at CAT South invite children to have breakfast with Santa Claus. They will have reindeer games, crafts and face painting, plus a professional portrait with Santa will be available.
Cost: $7 per child
