Of course Maryland Wine Festival goers can expect to taste dozens of delicious local wines, peruse rows of local craft vendors and enjoy fair-type food. But this year, the 30th anniversary of the Maryland Wine Festival, new features are being added to the festivities.

  • Silent Auction: Visitors will have the opportunity to bid on sports memorabilia. Each day brings different sport items.
  • More Music: This year there will be two music stages.
  • Giveaways: Hourly give-a-ways from local businesses will be awarded both days of the Festival. All those wishing to participate must sign up at the Memorabilia Tent where Maryland Wine Festival Tee shirts and sweat shirts, and the 2013 winning poster design, are sold.
The Maryland Wine Festival is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 - 22 at the Carroll County Farm Museum. Saturday’s hours are from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday’s hours are from Noon until 6 p.m.
Ticket prices are: Adults -- $30 / $27 advance, Premier Pass -- $65 / $62 advance, Ages 13-20 -- $20, Designated Driver (non-drinker) -- $20. Tickets can be purchased in advance here

Free handicapped accessible shuttle service is available at the Carroll Community College and the Carroll County Government offices on North Center Street, both in Westminster, according to a news release.

Thirty seven wineries are scheduled along with 85 arts and craft vendors and 30+ food vendors. Check out the web site for more information at www.marylandwinefestival.org or phone 410 386-3880.
