Free Army Band Concert Monday in Bowie

The 257th Army Band will be performing a free concert on May 21 at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts.

The 257th Army Band is holding a free concert on Monday, May 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts.

The mission of the band is, "to provide musical support for the troops and provide community relations performances using our concert band and music teams."

The concert will include music by Sousa, Grainger, Copland, Michael Buble' and the Beatles, and the saxophone section will step forward to perform a collection of the most popular songs on the sax.

Also featured will be the 257th Army Band's newest performance group, "Brigadier Brass."

The concert is free and open to the public and will be held in the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts, 15200 Annapolis Road in Bowie.
