"Sweet Reads" Book Discussion for Teen Girls

The Literacy Council of Prince George's County presents Sweet Reads, an afternoon for book lovers. At this special teen-focused session, 9-year-old Urenna Okoye will talk about her own love of writing, while award-winning screenwriter and poet Michelle Sewell will lead a discussion on the rough-and-tumble, sassy lives of girls. Desserts will be served by Kake Korner of Laurel.

Sweet Reads pairs writers and avid readers with local bakers to raise awareness of low adult literacy and Literacy Council programs while indulging in good reads and good eats. For other Sweet Reads events, visit http://www.literacycouncil.org/sweetreads.asp.
