The Little Science Readers is designed to encourage active reading and increase interest in science. Students will participate in a five week program where they will read books and engage in activities related to science. Participants will be divided into two groups, beginning readers will be placed with the Adventurers; advanced readers will comprise the Crusaders.
Students will benefit from five weeks of classroom instruction and stimulating activities, engaging materials that provide instruction at home between the weekly lessons, and reading in some of the best picture books ever written. Parents are required to attend sessions with their child and may be asked to engage in various activities.
