Scholastic Book Fair and Chili Cook-off

Enjoy a good book and add a hearty helping of chili at the annual Scholastic Book Fair and Chili Cook-off at the Washington New Church and School on Saturday, Oct. 29.

The book fair runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and the Chili cook-off, games and music will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

At the book fair, you can buy discounted Scholastic books geared toward grades K-8, posters, supplies, gifts and more.

At the chili cook-off, sample an assortment of chili and barbeque recipes submitted by volunteers or enter your own special brand of chili or barbeque. There will be prizes for winners, selected by popular vote.
