Alternative Christmas Gift Market

Tired of the same old sweaters, ties, and games under the Christmas tree?  This year, shop for something more meaningful: get your teacher a school supply kit for a local child who cannot afford pencils and paper, buy your child a case of food for the Bowie Interfaith Food Pantry so a family whose breadwinner has been laid off won't go hungry, or donate in your mom's name for a flock of ducks so an African town will have eggs to eat and sell. Choose your special gift and receive a beautiful card to tell your friend or family member what you have done in their honor--celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.

Christian Community Presbyterian Church hosts the Alternative Christmas Gift Market in Dodds Hall, with booths full of wonderful gift ideas.  Browse the offerings from groups such as Heifer International, the Medical Benevolence Association, international disaster relief, and local charities.  All proceeds go directly to the mission you choose.

Soup will be served for lunch.  This event is open to the community--everyone is welcome.
