2nd Star Productions Wins Best Community Theatre

One of the Bowie Playhouse's four resident theater companies, 2nd Star Productions, was awarded reader's choice for Best Community Theatre company by the MD Theatre Guide.

The company was also awarded Best Musical for their production of Fiddler on the Roof. Two of 2nd Star's actors also received honors, with Fred Nelson taking Best Actor for his role as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof and Rebecca Fiebel's win for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Aunt Eller in Oklahoma! 

In addition to these recent honors, 2nd Star has also been nominated for more than a dozen Washington Area Theatre Community Honors (WATCH) Awards:

The winners of the Watch Awards will be announced in March. 

This week, 2nd Star is holding autions for their next production, Camelot, at the Bowie Playhouse at 7 p.m. on Feb. 4 and Feb. 6. All roles are open.
