Weather Alert: Severe Thunderstorms Moving into Mongtomery, PG Counties

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southeastern Montgomery County and northern Prince George's County.

The warning lasts until 2:45 p.m.

Just after 2 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was detected near the American Legion bridge moving east. The storm is capable of producing damaging winds of 60 mph or more.

Locations likely to be affected by the storm include:

•   Fort Totten
•   Langley Park
•   Takoma Park
•   Hillandale
•   White Oak
•   Adelphi
•   Byrd Stadium
•   Beltsville
•   College Park
