WEATHER ALERT: Multiple Maryland Counties

Storms and high winds blowing into parts of Maryland.

It could be a bumpy night across Maryland, with the National Weather Service issuing a hazardous weather outlook for parts of the state as a cold front pushes through.

The alert is for the Maryland portion of Chesapeake Bay, as well as Baltimore, Harford, Prince George’s and Anne Arundel counties.

As a cold front swoops through the region late Wednesday, thunderstorms are possible ahead of the front that may produce damaging wind gusts. Isolated tornadoes are possible.

A wind advisory issued earlier in the day remains in effect through Thursday morning with gusts in excess of 45 mph.

The weather has been volatile across the region, and that looks to continue. Temperatures are forecast to drop below freezing Wednesday night, barely top 30 degrees on Thursday, then shoot back up to the mid-50s on Friday.
