Photo Gallery: Shop With A Cop at Bowie Target

Target of Bowie and the Bowie Police Department hosted Shop With A Cop this Sunday at Bowie Target. Several children got to spend up to $100 each to buy Christmas presents for themselves and their families.

Nineteen children whose families have fallen on hard times this holiday season were chosen to participate in Shop With A Cop at Bowie Target on Sunday. Each child was allotted $100 to spend however they wanted.

Many of the children shared the money with siblings who weren't old enough to officially take part (children had to be five years old). Others also purchased presents for their parents. PFC Henderson who helped organize Shop With A Cop said he hopes this will become an annual event.

At the end of the event, the children and their families were treated to a pizza lunch donated by Cetrone's of Bowie.
