The Bowie pools have opened for the season. Whitehall Swim and Tennis, Belair Bath and Tennis, Belair Swim and Raquet and Pointer Ridge are gearing up for the summer season.

After a winter that seemed to drag on just a little too long, the Bowie community pools have opened for the season. Despite cold water, several members of Whitehall Pool and Tennis took the plunge over the weekend.Others decided to spend time on the volleyball court or playground.

"One of the best parts of living in Bowie is the community pools," said one Whitehall member. She added that the long-time rivalry between the local swim teams is always fun to follow as well.
