Flash Flood Watch Issued for Maryland Areas Tonight

Rain is forecast to subside by Friday, when temperatures are predicted to reach the upper 60s.

Heavy rain and winds are expected to pummel Maryland this evening through late Wednesday night, with a flash flood watch issued for Central Maryland.

A flood watch has been issued for Cecil and Kent.

Two inches of rain are possible Tuesday, while another 3 inches are predicted for Wednesday.

Severe weather is forecast to stay south of Maryland, but heavy winds and an isolated tornado could affect Southern Maryland, according to the Storm Prediction Center.

Rain is expected to subside by Thursday, with clouds and temperatures in the upper 60s forecast for Friday.
