Bowiefest 2014: Music, Rides, Food, Health Expo, and a Rib-Eating Contest

Bowiefest is under way. Head to Allen Pond Park for food, rides, arts and crafts, and entertainment.

Each year, on the first Saturday in June, local civic organizations, entertainers and businesses come together to celebrate Bowie at Bowiefest.

It is a fair, a carnival, an expo, and a festival rolled up into one huge event and it takes place on Saturday, June 7, at Allen Pond Park, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There will be musical performances, rides, demonstrations, information booths, and lots of food offerings. There will also be an arts and crafts fair, organized by Soroptimist International of Bowie-Crofton, a Home and Health Expo inside the Ice Arena, and a rib-eating contest sponsored by Texas Roadhouse.
