Bowie Health Fair Set for This Weekend

The event will offer free screenings, flu shots and health care consultations, as well as fun activities for kids.

Health screenings, consultations and information will be available from nearly 100 health care providers at the Bowie Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 15001 Health Center Drive.

Many screenings will be available for free including cholestorol, diabetes, blood pressure, cataracts, glaucoma, lung function, hearing osteoporosis and HIV/AIDS testing.

Flu shots will also be available for free while supplies last.

Other services will be available for a fee, such as mammograms and bone density screenings, but some require appointments. Information on fees and appointments is available online and on the attached PDF.

If a room full of doctors sounds scary, not everything at the fair will be serious. In addition to the health and welless professionals, there will also be a moon bounce, face painting, a labryinth walk and an interactive video game center.
