We announce the winner of our 2012 Mother's Day contest.

To honor mothers around Prince George's County, Patch asked users to The heartfelt expressions of love and gratitude made it too hard to choose, so Patch randomly chose a winner.

And the winner of our best mom contest is... drumroll, please... is Terri Moore, of Bowie.

Moore's daughter, said:

My mom is the best in Prince George's County because she taught me to be strong, bold and independent. Because of her outlook on life and what she believes, I have been able to run a successful business for 15 years. She taught me that life is what you go after and not what you settle on. She is smart, active, happy, full of life and 82 years old. I love you mom, Terri Moore.

Terri will receive a $50 VISA gift card. Look for a post later on Patch that showcases photos of moms throughout the state of Maryland.

Thank you to all of the entrants and Patch wishes all of the local moms a happy Mother's Day!

Just because the contest is over doesn't mean it's too late to share your best memories. Upload photos and videos or tell everyone in the comments why your mom is the best.

My primary goal of forming this group, is to give all of us sufferers a feeling of belonging. SoRead More many people feel like they have no where, and no one to turn to, and I want to be that person and provide a group that can offer a pick-me-up throughout the day, or something to look forward to mid-week. So far, I have had 3 people reach out to me which is wonderful, however, I would like to have at least 5 people for our first meeting. I look forward to hearing from YOU soon! ~Cheers, Brittany
