DESCRIPTION:The Little Science Readers is designed to encourage active re
 ading and increase interest in science. Students will participate in a f
 ive week program where they will read books and&nbsp\;engage in activiti
 es&nbsp\;related to science. Participants will be divided into two group
 s\, beginning readers will be placed with the Adventurers\; advanced rea
 ders will comprise the Crusaders.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbs
 p\;\nStudents will benefit from five weeks of classroom instruction and 
 stimulating activities\, engaging materials that provide instruction at 
 home between the weekly lessons\, and reading in some of the best pictur
 e books ever written. Parents are required to attend sessions with their
  child and may be asked to engage in various activities.
