I'm not sure if this was meant to be an advertisement, or a helpful post.
I agree with the sentiment of this post: Yes, Facebook can be used to help businesses reach potential customers. However, the title is a bit much. A Bowie company may be helping businesses reach potential customers on Facebook. A Bowie company is NOT helping businesses reach 850 million people on Facebook.
The beauty of on-line advertising in any form (whether it is on Facebook or via Google ads) is to reach the right people, not the most people. In order to reach Facebook users, companies do need a Facebook presence. But no single Facebook page will ever reach 850 million different users. Few will reach even 1 million different users.
As a business owner, if someone approached me and said that they will help me reach 850 million users on Facebook, I would immediately dismiss the claim, and I would question the credibility of the person making the claim.
There are great reasons to have a Facebook page for your business. Google "using Facebook to promote my business," and you will find a lot of interesting information. Companies also need to consider the downsides of Facebook, including over posting, over promoting and avoiding posts that might offend potential customers. The Facebook page needs to be considered as part of an overall marketing strategy.
